{"id":649193,"date":"2025-12-22T23:06:17","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T23:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/649193\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T23:06:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T23:06:17","slug":"belfast-city-centre-sudden-death-not-being-treated-as-suspicious-police-confirm-the-irish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/649193\/","title":{"rendered":"Belfast city centre sudden death \u2018not being treated as suspicious\u2019, police confirm \u2013 The Irish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The sudden death of a man in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/belfast-city-centre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/tags\/belfast-city-centre\/\">Belfast city centre<\/a> on Monday is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Emergency services were called to the scene of the death at Stround Street in the Greet Victoria Street area on Monday morning, and remained there until the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police erected a screen at the entrance to Stround Street to block the view as they worked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A number of ambulances were also called to the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A PSNI spokesperson said: \u201cPolice attended the scene of a sudden death in the Great Victoria Street area of Belfast on Monday 22nd December.
