{"id":649859,"date":"2025-12-23T06:45:46","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T06:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/649859\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T06:45:46","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T06:45:46","slug":"three-family-members-jailed-after-drugs-and-gun-seized-in-birmingham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/649859\/","title":{"rendered":"Three family members jailed after drugs and gun seized in Birmingham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In January 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westmidlands.police.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">West Midlands Police<\/a> carried out a warrant at the property linked to Jon-James (Jayden), Kye, and Kaiden Lemathy on Holte Road, Aston.<\/p>\n<p>The property was searched alongside a Nissan car parked outside.<\/p>\n<p>From the car, a fully-loaded sawn-off shotgun and cartridges were recovered alongside a significant quantity of cannabis and cocaine, with a total estimated street value of more than \u00a312,000.<\/p>\n<p>Through analysis of CCTV, police were able to identify Jayden, Kye, and Kaiden as having accessed the Nissan several times over five days.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/a8b9e560-c570-4cfe-bb29-a91c9ef444f6.jpg\"   alt=\"(L-R) Kaiden, Jayden, and Kye Lemathy\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"w-full max-w-none\"\/>(L-R) Kaiden, Jayden, and Kye Lemathy<\/p>\n<p>They also seized several mobile phones which were forensically examined and found to be advertising drugs for sale in bulk quantities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jayden Lemathy, aged 33, of Holte Road, admitted possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and was sentenced to 10 years and eight months in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Kye Lemathy, aged 21, also of Holte Road, admitted possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, and possessing criminal property.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, following a different investigation into a shooting in Aston, he also admitted possession of a firearm with intent and was jailed for more than nine years in total.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiden Lemathy, 18, also of Holte Road, was sentenced two years in prison for possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>He was also sentenced to seven years in prison for causing grievous bodily harm with intent, three counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, and dangerous driving after a s<a href=\"https:\/\/plus.expressandstar.com\/news\/2025\/12\/22\/three-men-jailed-after-pedestrians-injured-in-birmingham-hit-and-run\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eparate investigation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Sergeant Fisher, from West Midlands Police&#8217;s Major Crime team said: \u201cThe end result of months of complex enquiries was three members of the same family being convicted for serious offences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know they were responsible for issues arising from the supply of drugs in the local area \u2013 and we\u2019re more committed than ever to cracking down on that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Operation Target is the police&#8217;s 24\/7 fight against serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.
