Dominic Calvert-Lewin has provided a major boost to Leeds United in the relegation battle with his recent form and goalscoring exploits.<\/strong><\/p>\n That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown<\/a>, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider<\/strong> that Daniel Farke<\/a>\u2018s plans to sign a new striker may now have been brushed aside.<\/p>\n Leeds beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at Elland Road<\/a>, as Calvert-Lewin<\/a> scored twice and they were able to put distance between themselves and the relegation zone.<\/p>\n The Peacocks are now six points above 18th-placed West Ham, with their striker having scored in each of their last five games, picking up eight points in that time.<\/p>\n Brown previously warned\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong> that\u00a0Leeds are in big trouble<\/a> as a result of their lack of attacking firepower, but the striker\u2019s form has changed that \u201cCalvert-Lewin has really hit top form for Leeds,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s nice to see, because at one time he was somebody I thought had real top potential, but he\u2019s had injuries and inconsistency throughout his career.<\/p>\n \u201cNow he looks back to the player he was four or five years ago, he looks fit, he looks sharp, and he looks confident, that\u2019s a huge boost to Leeds.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re in a relegation scrap, if you\u2019ve got a striker who can score goals on a regular basis, that gives you an immediate advantage.<\/p>\n \u201cI think they did want to sign a striker in January, and probably still do, but if he can stay fit it might allow them to focus on other important positions.<\/p>\n \u201cThose concerns about Calvert-Lewin are always going to be there, because you never know when he could pick up an injury, but they\u2019re happy with him for now.\u201d<\/p>\n Daniel Farke makes transfer Three Lions since 2021.<\/p>\n As a result, Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed earlier this month that\u00a0Leeds are prioritising other key areas<\/a> of the squad rather than a new striker thanks to their recent goalscoring exploits.<\/p>\n While potential alternatives have been assessed, Farke\u2019s recent tactical tweaks have seen Leeds find the net far more often, negating the need for a new forward.<\/p>\n Those changes have not only impacted Calvert-Lewin\u2019s future, but also that of the manager who had come under pressure after a string of poor results.<\/p>\n Meanwhile,
