will be focused on Scotland, with much of the country expected to be blanketed on Tuesday, January 6, according to projections.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Weather maps from WXCharts show almost the entirety of Scotland covered by snow from midnight onwards.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0_snowmap.jpg\" alt=\"weather map\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Snow is forecast for Scotland on January 6.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">That means places like Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee can all expect snowy conditions, according to current forecasts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Around four inches of snow could fall in parts of western Scotland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Snowy conditions could also drift into parts of far northern England as well as Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The Met Office&#8217;s long-range weather forecast from December 27 onwards suggests mainly settled and dry conditions for many parts of the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">It says: &#8220;High pressure is likely to dominate across the UK at the start of this period and through to the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;This means that weather conditions will be largely settled and for many places it will remain dry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;It may often be rather cloudy, but any rainfall that does develop is expected to be light with overall accumulations small.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Winds will mostly be light with temperatures close to or slightly below normal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Into 2026, little change is anticipated through the first week of January, with settled and mainly dry conditions continuing for many parts of the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;However, there is a small chance that more unsettled, wetter and milder weather could develop at times, particularly in the north.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Snowy conditions forecast for parts of BritainSnow is forecast in early January.
