Weather maps from WXCharts show almost the entirety of Scotland covered by snow from midnight onwards.<\/p>\n

Snow is forecast for Scotland on January 6.<\/p>\n
That means places like Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee can all expect snowy conditions, according to current forecasts.<\/p>\n
Around four inches of snow could fall in parts of western Scotland.<\/p>\n
Snowy conditions could also drift into parts of far northern England as well as Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
The Met Office’s long-range weather forecast from December 27 onwards suggests mainly settled and dry conditions for many parts of the UK.<\/p>\n
It says: “High pressure is likely to dominate across the UK at the start of this period and through to the end of the year.<\/p>\n
“This means that weather conditions will be largely settled and for many places it will remain dry.<\/p>\n
“It may often be rather cloudy, but any rainfall that does develop is expected to be light with overall accumulations small.<\/p>\n
“Winds will mostly be light with temperatures close to or slightly below normal.<\/p>\n
“Into 2026, little change is anticipated through the first week of January, with settled and mainly dry conditions continuing for many parts of the UK.<\/p>\n
