Liverpool return to Premier League action against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds are now unbeaten in six matches across all competitions following a 2-1 win over Tottenham last time out.<\/p>\n

However, Liverpool weren\u2019t great against Spurs<\/a> and were massively helped out by two red cards on the day.<\/p>\n

Despite not exactly impressing when they travelled to North London, they are now facing the worst side in the Premier League, and it could be a good chance for Arne Slot<\/a> to rotate his team.<\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong could start vs Wolves<\/p>\n

Alexander Isak\u2019s injury<\/a> has opened the door for Liverpool to make changes to their frontline.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah is at the AFCON<\/a>, leaving the right-wing spot open ahead of Wolves.<\/p>\n

On that front, we may well see Jeremie Frimpong<\/a> used out of position against Rob Edwards\u2019 side.<\/p>\n

Frimpong featured as a winger<\/a> when he came off the bench versus Tottenham on Saturday, playing a key role in Hugo Ekitike\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

Now, speaking at his press conference<\/a> on Tuesday, Slot has confirmed that the Dutchman can start this weekend.<\/p>\n

He went on to say more risks sometimes need to be taken when situations change, seeming to hint that the Isak blow could mean Frimpong is brought into the team now that Liverpool\u2019s attacking options have been depleted even more after Salah\u2019s exit.<\/p>\n

Slot said: \u201cHe [Frimpong] was on a maximum of 30 minutes at the weekend as he\u2019s been out quite a long time.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s able to start this weekend if I make that decision. Sometimes situations change and you have to take more risks than if everyone is normally available.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody needs to roll their sleeves up to have the best possible chance of a good outcome in the next two games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong stats at Bayer Leverkusen<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old arrived at Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer.<\/p>\n

However, injury issues mean he has not started a Premier League fixture since the win over Bournemouth on August 15.<\/p>\n

While we are yet to see the best of Frimpong as a Red, his cameo versus Tottenham showed us a brief glimpse of what he offers in the final third.<\/p>\n

The defender spent much of his stint in Germany acting as a wing-back, and his 2024\/25 season was particularly impressive.<\/p>\n

In the Bundesliga, Frimpong scored five and assisted five while performing 66 shot-creating actions, an average of 2.57 per 90.<\/p>\n
