\n\tThe Duke of Sussex played at the St. Regis Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, Colorado, last week, and he took a \u201clow-profile\u201d approach<\/a> when he was introduced. According to a Page Six source<\/a>, \u201cHarry was introduced as Harry Wales, with no royal title mentioned ever or anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe outlet climbed that he didn\u2019t want to draw any attention to himself while he played polo with his bestie, Nacho Figureras. \u201cHe was there to play polo with his best friend Nacho,\u201d the insider added, \u201cNo titles, just fun.\u201d Harry also stayed away from the press that was there to cover the event.<\/p>\n

\n\tOf course, the use of the last name \u201cWales\u201d sparked some controversy since Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, use the last name \u201cSussex.\u201d<\/a> Still, he was born His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales because that was his father\u2019s moniker at the time.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Prince of Wales title now belongs to Harry\u2019s estranged brother, Prince William<\/a>, so he naturally drew plenty of criticism overseas. \u201cPerhaps the only ridiculous one is Harry, and he asked to be announced that way. Everyone knows his title is Sussex,\u201d wrote<\/a> one critic on X.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnother social media user added<\/a>, \u201cVery bizarre. Didn\u2019t even use Prince Harry. Maybe he knows the titles will be removed soon and is signaling to the monarchy that he will go by Harry Wales, not Mountbatten-Windsor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile social media had its say in the matter, Harry\u2019s spokesperson told the Express <\/a>that it was just \u201ca mistake.\u201d He did not ask to be introduced as \u201cHarry Wales,\u201d it was just a simple slip of the tongue \u2014 he\u2019s Harry Sussex.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe use of the couple\u2019s last name came into focus<\/a> earlier this year when Meghan revealed to With Love, Meghan guest Mindy Kaling that she no longer goes by the last name \u201cMarkle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou know I\u2019m Sussex now,\u201d she explained. \u201cYou have kids and you go, \u2018No, I share my name with my children. It just means so much to go, \u2018This is our family name, our little family name.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
