The last time a new work by the ever mysterious Banksy appeared in London, it was covered up and taken down in a matter of hours.\u00a0The piece at the Royal Courts of Justice<\/a>\u00a0appeared to show a judge striking a protester with a gavel, but\u00a0HM Courts and Tribunals very swiftly removed it to preserve the \u2018historical character\u2019 of character of the building.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s never too long before a\u00a0another\u00a0Banksy pops up elsewhere in the city. Just over three months later, the street artist has revealed a brand new mural.<\/p>\n

The latest artwork\u00a0appeared in west London yesterday (December 23), confirmed on the street artist\u2019s official Instagram. It depicts two children wrapped up in coats, wooly hats and wellies lying down and looking at the sky, with one pointing upwards.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shortly after, the very same image popped up on a wall in central London, but the artist is yet to claim ownership of that one. Here\u2019s everything we know.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Where is the new Banksy in London?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Banksy\u2019s latest mural is above a row of garages in\u00a0Queen\u2019s Mews in Bayswater.\u00a0The identical piece appeared outside Centre Point tower near Tottenham Court Road, but as we said, it\u2019s not been confirmed as a genuine Banksy yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What does the new mural mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As always with Banksy,\u00a0the meaning of the mural remains up for interpretation. There\u2019s speculation that it could be a comment on child homelessness.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Can you still see the latest Banksy?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, at the time of writing Banksy\u2019s newest artwork is still there and available to see. While a lot of the artist\u2019s work is often quickly removed, vandalised or relocated, nothing has been said about removing the Bayswater or Centre Point murals yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His\u00a0piranhas piece on a police box from summer 2024 is set to go on display at the London Museum<\/a>, while\u00a0one of his other works is now on show at the London Transport Museum<\/a>.
