Heartbroken Diane Edgar has paid tribute to Paula, 34, and her granddaughter Pixie, saying that Christmas is going to be a tough time without them.<\/p>\n

A Lanarkshire<\/a> gran rocked by a double death tragedy has shared her pain over losing her granddaughter and daughter in the space of just nine months.<\/p>\n

Heartbroken Diane Edgar has paid tribute to Paula, 34, and her granddaughter Pixie, saying that Christmas<\/a> is going to be a tough time without them. Six-month-old Pixie tragically passed away from Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) while being bathed by her mum earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Paula fell pregnant with Pixie just months before Christmas last year. Following the pain of losing her baby, the mum started having seizures from two tumours on her brain.<\/p>\n

It was the thought of facing a Christmas without her little girl that led to a heartbroken Paula suddenly passing away in November, leaving Diane, from Blantyre, and the family devastated.<\/p>\n

She told GlasgowLive: “Paula was the bubbliest, happiest and kindest person that you could ever meet. She was just high on life and loved life. That all went away when Pixie passed. She was a shell.”<\/p>\n

Diane added: “She told me since she was 16 that she wanted to have a child. By a miracle, she fell pregnant with Pixie.<\/p>\n

“Pixie was her entire world. She would never let anyone help. She was so devoted to that beautiful wee girl.<\/p>\n

\"PaulaPaula passed away last month<\/p>\n

“Her first Christmas was the happiest we ever had. She was one of the most wonderful wee souls out there.”<\/p>\n

Opening up on what this Christmas is going to be like, Diane said: “Paula had such a big, loud and infectious laugh and now it’s just silent. Christmas is going to be tough without her.<\/p>\n

“Everyone felt her loss because she was so popular in the area. We will remember her for the wonderful wee soul that she was and how important she was to the 1000s of people that she touched during her life.<\/p>\n

“She was my wee sidekick and I don’t know what I will do without her. She was one in a million.
