Manchester United are in the midst of a crisis right now, with several players set to be missing vs Newcastle for multiple reasons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim<\/a> will have to be creative on Boxing Day against Newcastle, with his favoured team not available to pick. <\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> are missing seven players through various reasons, with the last week seeing injuries to Bruno Fernandes<\/a> and Kobbie Mainoo<\/a> add to Amorim\u2019s worries.<\/p>\n

Apart from Bruno Fernandes, who will be the biggest miss? <\/p>\n

Fernandes is a massive miss, while Mainoo would have been the natural replacement, but without either, United have big questions in midfield.<\/p>\n

Now, Amorim has spoken about the duo.<\/p>\n

After his injury against Villa, Fernandes is reportedly missing a month<\/a>, which would be a potentially fatal blow for United given how vital he is.<\/p>\n

Due to this, there was an eagerness to find out more about his injury situation and to speak with the media ahead of the game with Newcastle.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot for this game. They are recovering, and it won\u2019t take a lot of time. Mainoo will return faster than Bruno.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amorim then explained he doesn\u2019t want to say how long Fernandes will be out for, but admitted, \u201cI have an idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Continuing, Amorim then added that neither Harry Maguire nor Matthijs de Ligt will make the game either.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are still working with them. They are not available for this one, but let\u2019s see for the next one\u201d, Fernandes explained.<\/p>\n

These absences, added to the AFCON players, mean United are seven players short for this game.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim knows Fernandes replacement calls for Manchester United improvement<\/p>\n

Having no Fernandes is a big deal for United, with the captain the club\u2019s best creator and goal scorer, often carrying the team to results even today.<\/p>\n

Amorim admitted this in the press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s impossible to replace Bruno, but I said that this morning to the team. We need to take the good thing, if there is a good thing, a lot of people need to step up. We cannot rely on one guy for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, with such a massive absence of Fernandes to contend with, United will need Cunha to step up<\/a> and make himself the player that the club bought him to be.<\/p>\n
