{"id":653232,"date":"2025-12-25T00:47:17","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T00:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/653232\/"},"modified":"2025-12-25T00:47:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T00:47:17","slug":"man-23-charged-with-birmingham-murder-following-stabbing-on-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/653232\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 23, charged with Birmingham murder following stabbing on street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.west-midlands.police.uk\/news\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">West Midlands Police<\/a> confirmed that Abdou Sillah had been <a href=\"http:\/\/expressandstar.com\/news\/crime\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">charged<\/a> with murder and possession of a knife and was remanded to appear at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.find-court-tribunal.service.gov.uk\/courts\/birmingham-magistrates-court\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Birmingham Magistrates Court<\/a> on December 26.<\/p>\n<p>The murder charge comes following the death of Kiirpaal Nhian, who was found with serious injuries on the evening of December 20 in Small Heath, with the 29-year-old dying at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>It also said that the investigation was on-going and asked for anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: &#8220;We&#8217;ve charged a man with murder following a fatal stabbing in Birmingham last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A man was found with serious injuries in Swanage Road, Small Heath, at around 6.40pm on Saturday (December 20).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kiirpaal Nhian, aged 29, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following enquiries we yesterday detained a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder and possession of a knife.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Abdou Sillah, of Birmingham, has now been charged with the offences.
