{"id":653369,"date":"2025-12-25T03:12:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T03:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/653369\/"},"modified":"2025-12-25T03:12:16","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T03:12:16","slug":"police-investigating-death-of-woman-found-behind-new-london-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/653369\/","title":{"rendered":"Police investigating death of woman found behind New London building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police are investigating after a woman was found dead behind a building in New London on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to the rear of 393 Williams St. at 9:16 a.m. on the report of an unresponsive person on the ground, according to Brian Wright, chief of the <a href=\"https:\/\/newlondonct.gov\/police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New London Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An unconscious and unresponsive woman was found by police and medics, Wright said. She was pronounced dead at the scene and identified as 56-year-old Kelly Anne Lewis, whose last known address was in Waterford, according to Wright.<\/p>\n<p>The death remains under investigation. No other information was immediately released.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 860-447-1481.
