{"id":653620,"date":"2025-12-25T06:48:30","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T06:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/653620\/"},"modified":"2025-12-25T06:48:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T06:48:30","slug":"plans-submitted-for-citys-12th-black-sheep-coffee-on-forrest-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/653620\/","title":{"rendered":"Plans\u00a0submitted\u00a0for\u00a0city&#8217;s 12th\u00a0Black Sheep Coffee on Forrest Road\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PLANS have been\u00a0submitted\u00a0to open a Black Sheep Coffee near the National Museum of Scotland.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The proposed site is currently occupied by East Asian supermarket\u00a0Maycheelin, which stands on the corner of\u00a0Forrest Road and Lauriston Place.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It would be the 12th\u00a0Black Sheep Coffee in Edinburgh, which includes one at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deadlinenews.co.uk\/2025\/12\/03\/jet2-to-relaunch-flights-from-scotland-to-egyptian-holiday-destinations-for-first-time-in-over-a-decade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh Airport<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Concern has risen among the population about the impact of chain branches on local, independent shops.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are currently six Black Sheep Coffee stores within a half-mile radius of areas surrounding Princes Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.deadlinenews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2048px-Black_Sheep_Coffee_Bishopsgate-e1766577267586.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" data-dominant-color=\"655b4b\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #655b4b;\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2048px-Black_Sheep_Coffee_Bishopsgate.jpg\" alt=\"coffee shop with glass door\" class=\"wp-image-1253203 not-transparent\"\/><\/a>Black Sheep Coffee had around 70 locations as of 2023, with the number expected to keep rising.
