My first flat was when I moved from Plymouth to London. I moved to Stratford, right by the pool, because I had no idea where I wanted to live in London. But, then I moved to Borough \u2013 where I\u2019ve been ever since. <\/p>\n

The best first date spot is…<\/p>\n

I would start somewhere like Flat Iron Square<\/a>, which is a food truck- bar type thing. I\u2019d get a little snack and walk down the river, go to the Tate Modern<\/a> to look at some of the art, then walk to the London Eye. It\u2019s a nice little walk and gives you the option to cut things off.<\/p>\n

What shops do you rely on?<\/p>\n

Loop in Central London. It’s a great yarn store. Borough Market is great for food.<\/p>\n

Where would you like to be buried?<\/p>\n

Tough one. Maybe I\u2019d like to be thrown in the Thames and have a little float down the river to have a look at everything for one last time! The thought of being buried underground scares me a little bit.<\/p>\n

Which London building would you live in? <\/p>\n

I\u2019d buy Buckingham Palace<\/a> and bring all my friends and family to live there. It would be the most fun, weird commune you\u2019d ever been to. That\u2019s assuming I could kick out all the royals, unless they gave us a little wing! <\/p>\n

What is the best thing a London cabbie has ever said to you? <\/p>\n

I was on my way back from the Paris Olympics in a cab from Kings Cross. I got back home and the cabbie said \u201cCongratulations on an amazing career. You\u2019ve inspired me and my kids. It\u2019s on me today!\u201d I had just announced my retirement and that made my day.<\/p>\n

My best London secret is…<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very niche, but the quickest way to the Olympic Park<\/a> from Stratford station, go through the mall, past the M&S, through the car park and up the escalators. It\u2019s the fastest way and under cover from rain. <\/p>\n

If I was Mayor of London for a day… <\/p>\n

I\u2019d have a mandatory hour of knitting. Everyone would have to stop work to have a knit-esta, like a siesta, and have an hour not to be on your phone. Just for one day. <\/p>\n

Someone who can get from A to B on the Tube without having to look where you\u2019re going. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s an app you can\u2019t live without in London?<\/p>\n

Citymapper or the Tube map. It\u2019s essential. It\u2019s also important to have a variety of taxi apps. When I first moved from Plymouth, I had no idea where I was going \u2013 it all looked like spaghetti to me. <\/p>\n

The most iconic Londoner is…<\/p>\n
