Romance rumors began swirling in July 2024, when Preti and Williams were photographed vacationing together in Nerano, Italy. They were later seen together in January 2025, and that same month, Williams posted a selfie of them in the Bahamas on her Instagram Stories, calling Preti \u201cthe best company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turns out, they first met during Milan Fashion Week. \u201cWe met at the Gucci show,\u201d Williams told Vogue<\/a>. \u201cI was in Lake Como on a sisters\u2019 trip when I got an invite at the last minute and decided to go on a whim, and Andrea was tired. Neither of us was planning on being there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preti revealed to the outlet that after the show, he saw Williams at a VIP gathering and wanted to get to know her. \u201c\u201cI saw V and wanted to introduce myself,\u201d he said. \u201cShe was on the sofa with her friends and family. When Venus confirmed their engagement in July 2025, she credited Preti with encouraging her return to tennis. \u201cThere were so many times where I just wanted to coast and kind of chill. Do you know how hard it is to play tennis?\u201d she said during one post-match interview. \u201cHe encouraged me to get through this, and it\u2019s wonderful to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Engagement rumors first started in February 2025, when Williams was seen wearing a diamond ring in Rome. She later wore the same ring while attending the Dsquared2 Fall\/Winter 2025 show in Milan. <\/p>\n

The engagement confirmation came six months later, when Rennae Stubbs asked during an on-court interview, \u201cYou are now an engaged woman. So, how has Andrea helped you in this comeback?\u201d To which Williams smiled and replied, \u201cMy fianc\u00e9 is here, and he really encouraged me to keep playing. He\u2019s never seen me play.\u201d Later, she confirmed that Preti popped the question in January 2025.<\/p>\n

They got married with two different ceremonies in Italy and Florida.<\/p>\n

After less than a year of being engaged, Williams and Preti tied the knot with two distinct ceremonies across the globe.<\/p>\n

First, they had an informal wedding in Ischia, Italy on September 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had this dream to do our wedding in Italy,\u201d Williams explained to Vogue. \u201cBut we didn\u2019t have enough time to do the paperwork\u2014because I\u2019m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, the pair officially went to the courthouse two months later in Palm Beach, Florida, and they celebrated that same week with a ceremony that was attended by their closest family and friends, including Williams\u2019s sister, Serena, and twenty five of Preti\u2019s loved ones who flew all the way in from Italy.<\/p>\n
