Leeds will have to spend wisely in the transfer market this winter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds United News<\/strong> understand the 49ers do have some money to spend<\/a> in January, although financial restrictions are at large with the club close to breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) after spending roughly \u00a3100m in the summer.<\/p>\n

Opportunities will pop up \u2013 like the potential \u00a39m deal for Ruben Vargas<\/a> \u2013 but a move for Haji Wright<\/a> now looks well and truly off the table for Leeds<\/a> after a story from the Telegraph<\/a> emerged.<\/p>\n

The Hammers are targeting Jorgen Strand Larsen<\/a> of Wolves, but as they aim not to put all of their eggs into one basket, enquiries are being made for other attackers. <\/p>\n

The aforementioned Wright \u2013 who Leeds are monitoring<\/a> \u2013 is one of the options being considered, but the Telegraph believe Coventry bluntly quoted West Ham a whopping \u00a3200m when they received an enquiry from the east Londoners.<\/p>\n

That would make the United States international the most expensive footballer in history, tied with Neymar \u2013 who moved from Barcelona to PSG for \u00a3200m in August 2017.<\/p>\n

Leeds obviously weren\u2019t the ones who asked, but Coventry are clearly quite determined to keep Wright around, so the 49ers can expect the same response should they too ask the Robins if a deal is possible.<\/p>\n

Frank Lampard currently has Coventry sitting six points clear at the top of the Championship, so it would require something special for the leaders of the second tier to voluntarily weaken their side.<\/p>\n

What the West Ham United Fan Advisory Board said about Leeds United<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke is clearly doing something right at Leeds, as the West Ham United Fan Advisory Board expressed a tinge of jealousy when providing a statement on a vote of no confidence against their owners.<\/p>\n

The statement reads: \u201cTo be overtaken by two newly promoted clubs [Sunderland and Leeds United] plus a number of other organically far smaller outfits is a direct reflection of the leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

With six points currently separating Leeds from the bottom three and also West Ham, the Hammers are certainly in real danger of being cut adrift. <\/p>\n
