(REUTERS\/Chris Radburn)<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/leeds-united-must-sell-joel-piroe-after-palace-cameo-disaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joel Piroe\u2019s 15-minute cameo against Crystal Palace<\/a> probably served as a massive detriment to his prospects of being involved more in the Premier League. <\/p>\n<p>As a result, it begs the question of whether Leeds will identify this issue and find a new striker for the January window.<\/p>\n<p>Calvert-Lewin has proven to be finding form again <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/brentford-1-1-leeds-dominic-calvert-lewins-new-fitness-claim-on-sky-sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with his fitness holding up<\/a>. But, historic issues for him are something we simply cannot afford to risk.<\/p>\n<p>Leeds United should consider a move for Union SG and Canada star Promise David<\/p>\n<p>If Leeds are in the market for a striker, which they should be, then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/3-strikers-leeds-united-must-consider-for-january-transfer-window\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we\u2019re going to need someone physically very dominant<\/a> to keep up this theme we saw vs Palace.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/leeds-united-brighton-interest-striker-promise-david\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Linked in the summer<\/a>, a name I\u2019d very much like to see Leeds test the waters for is Union SG striker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/tag\/promise-david\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Promise David<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 6ft5in Canadian international is having another storming campaign. Leeds could have a real menace on their hands if they firm up their supposed interest from the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, if the club are keen, they\u2019ll want to do a deal in January rather than the summer. <\/p>\n<p>David is likely to head to the World Cup with Jesse Marsch\u2019s Canada. And as we all know, a solid international tournament leads to a player\u2019s price absolutely skyrocketing. In turn, we can\u2019t afford that.<\/p>\n<p>What has Jesse Marsch said about previous Leeds United target Promise David?<\/p>\n<p>Of course, given that he\u2019s being coached on an international level by Marsch, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/jesse-marsch-promise-david-leeds-united-transfer-verdict\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it\u2019d be interesting to hear what the ex-Leeds boss has to say about him<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Marsch gave David his debut for Canada. And, he\u2019s been repaid for calling up with the 24-year-old scoring three in eight caps so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPromise David has obviously had a great year at Union Saint-Gilloise,\u201d\u00a0Marsch said, via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/canadiansoccerdaily.com\/2025\/03\/12\/jesse-marsch-expects-daniel-jebbison-and-promise-david-to-instantly-make-canmnt-better\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Soccer Daily<\/a> earlier this year.\u00a0\u201cHe and I have been in a lot of contact over the last four or five months. I\u2019ve watched him, we\u2019ve talked a lot about his progress. He\u2019s excited about joining the Canadian national team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reason I\u2019ve hunted them so heavily is I really believe that they will fit what we do very well and they\u2019ll assimilate quickly. We\u2019ll be ready to insert them into games and see how they do, give them a chance to show what they\u2019re about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly, both are highly talented players and Promise is in really good form.
