Air France<\/a> is converting its Paris (Charles de Gaulle)\u2013Manila nonstop service into a seasonal route<\/strong>, ending year-round operations in 2026. The airline will suspend the service during the European summer season, from May 4 to October 12, 2026,<\/strong> and operate the route only during the winter schedules, effectively making the link seasonal.<\/p>\n

During the suspension period, no direct flights will operate between Paris and Manila under the Air France brand.<\/p>\n

Currently, the route is served three times a week using Airbus A350-900 aircraft<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The change means that these flights will disappear from the summer timetable, before returning with the winter 2026\u20132027 schedule<\/strong>. The move reflects a broader trend among airlines to align long-haul capacity with seasonal demand and optimize the use of wide-body aircraft during peak periods.<\/p>\n

The Paris\u2013Manila service was relaunched in December 2024, marking Air France<\/a>\u2019s return to the Philippine market after a 20-year absence<\/strong> and restoring a direct air link between France and the Philippines. Philippine Airlines also used to serve Paris from Manila until 1998.<\/p>\n

The route suspension means also that Air France will be able to redeploy its Airbus A350-900 to markets where they can generate the highest returns<\/strong>. Typically for the northern hemisphere summer is a high volume of deman from Europe to North America and to leisure destinations. By suspending Paris\u2013Manila during the summer months, Air France can reassign its aircraft to those routes with high demand.<\/p>\n

While the seasonal adjustment reduces nonstop options during summer 2026, travelers will still be able to reach Manila via alternative routings, including connections through partner hubs such as Amsterdam with KLM or with Skyteam partners such as Saudia or Vietnam Airlines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
