Liverpool has reportedly turned its attention to signing Bradley Barcola after missing out on Antoine Semenyo, who is expected to join Manchester City.<\/p>\n

Semenyo is attracting interest from a host of top clubs ahead of the January transfer window, but it is believed that he will end up signing for City<\/a>.<\/p>\n

CaughtOffside<\/a> claims that Liverpool<\/a> views PSG’s Barcola as an alternative long-term option to Semenyo, with the Frenchman having emerged as one of the most exciting wingers in Ligue 1 over the last couple of years.<\/p>\n

Liverpool’s recruitment team has reportedly intensified its monitoring of Barcola, who is an important player for PSG but does not always start for Luis Enrique’s side.<\/p>\n

Enrique has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal in the French capital, and Barcola’s camp is keen to assess its options before committing his future to Les Parisiens.<\/p>\n

Liverpool is aware that signing Barcola would cost a significant sum of money, and it also knows that a January deal is unlikely, but the Reds are keen to lay the groundwork ahead of a serious swoop next summer.<\/p>\n

Manchester United could provide competition in the race to sign Barcola, but Liverpool is confident of staving off any interest from the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Liverpool could face competition from Barcelona in the race to sign Marc Guehi next year, according to Top Mercato<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As things stand, Guehi will become a free agent on July 1, and he will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of the English league system from January 1.<\/p>\n

With Andreas Christensen suffering a serious knee injury, and Ronald Araujo taking a break for the good of his mental health, Barcelona is in need of further options to add some depth to its defense.<\/p>\n

Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck, Aston Villa’s Pau Torres and Villa captain Guehi are all names that are regularly linked with Barca, but it is claimed that the Spanish club’s sporting director, Deco, favors a move for Guehi.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether Palace would be willing to sell Guehi for a cut-price fee in January, but that option would likely be the best one for Barcelona.<\/p>\n
