Police are investigating a deliberate fire <\/a>at a home in Edinburgh on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

Emergency services raced to the property on the capital’s Stevenson Drive<\/a> after receiving the alarm at 6.45pm on December 25. Three fire engines and one neight vehicle were scrambled to the blaze after locals reported smelling smoke in the air.<\/p>\n

It’s understood there were no injuries. Fire <\/a>crews left the area after extinguishing the blaze at 7.31pm.<\/p>\n

Police say they are treating the fire as wilful, with inquiries into the circumstances ongoing. Images taken from the scene <\/a>show multiple firefighters in attendance while a large cordon was erected around the property.<\/p>\n

Officers in uniform could be seen standing guard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson told our sister title, Edinburgh Live<\/a>: “Around 6.45pm on Thursday, 25 December, 2025, officers received a report of a fire at a property on Stevenson Drive, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

“The fire is being treated as wilful and inquiries <\/a>are ongoing.”<\/p>\n

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed: “We were called to Stevenson Drive <\/a>at 6.41pm on December 25 after reports of a dwelling fire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We dispatched three appliances and one height appliances.
