This article contains spoilers for tonight\u2019s Coronation Street<\/a>, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.<\/p>\n Christmas<\/a> Day came to a violent end for Daniel Osbourne<\/a> (Rob Mallard<\/a>) in Coronation Street this year when he was brutally attacked<\/a> in the ginnel.<\/p>\n Fortunately, he survived the assault and was taken to hospital after being found unconscious by Evelyn Plummer<\/a> (Maureen Lipman<\/a>).<\/p>\n However, he was unable to identify his attacker, explaining that he\u2019d been struck from behind. All he could tell his family was that he\u2019d had his watch and wallet stolen.<\/p>\n While Daniel\u2019s loved ones were clueless as to who could have attacked him, it quickly became clear that Maggie Driscoll<\/a> (Pauline McLynn<\/a>) had some idea.<\/p>\n Having picked up on the tension between Daniel and grandson Will Driscoll <\/a>(Lucas Hodgson-Wale<\/a>) at the Christmas dinner table the previous day, Maggie questioned Will on his whereabouts the previous evening.<\/p>\n \t\t In no time at all, Will folded under his gran\u2019s questioning, and admitted to the attack \u2013 though he kept the real reason behind his actions to himself.<\/p>\n Viewers will know that Will has been groomed by sports coach Megan<\/a> (Beth Nixon), who also moved to Weatherfield in recent weeks to continue training Will.<\/p>\n Since arriving on the cobbles, Megan has struck up a relationship with Daniel, leaving Will seething with jealousy.<\/p>\n Though Megan has been arguing that she is only acting to keep their relationship under wraps, Will is extremely unhappy with the situation.<\/p>\n \t\t In recent scenes, Daniel caught on to Will\u2019s feelings for Megan and has confronted him more than once about his \u2018teenage crush\u2019.<\/p>\n As tensions grew over Christmas dinner yesterday thanks to Maggie\u2019s actions<\/a>, Will couldn\u2019t help throwing snipes at Daniel, who gave his best right back.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tDon’t miss a Soaps scoop!
