Amazon has gone head to head with Samsung by slashing the price of a Galaxy Watch in its Prime sale. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic<\/a> has been reduced from \u00a3369 to \u00a3249, matching the same deal offered by Samsung<\/a>. This price is available for Amazon Prime members or those signing up for a Prime 30-day free trial<\/a>, with discounts also up for grabs on the standard Galaxy Watch7<\/a> (\u00a3244). Samsung says the Watch6 Classic is inspired by the \u2018iconic design\u2019 of diving watches, with this model featuring a 1.3\u201d AMOLED display crafted with Sapphire Crystal glass to protect against scratches. Available in silver<\/a> or black<\/a>, the stainless steel gadget also boasts IP68 and 5ATM water-resistance ratings, with a rotating bezel for selection of different apps and functions. It\u2019s ideal for health and fitness fanatics as it can monitor heart rate, blood pressure and sleep, with tracking or more than 90 different workouts including running, walking and cycling.<\/p>\n

Other functions include making calls, sending texts and streaming music directly from the watch. The watch\u2019s fast-charge feature can reach up to 45% battery life in 30 minutes, with a full charge offering up to 40 hours of runtime. It\u2019s compatible with smartphones running Android 10 or above and has 16GB of storage so there\u2019s plenty of room for apps. For those who prefer to spread the cost of their devices and avoid forking out hundreds at once, Sky Mobile offers both the Galaxy Watch6 Classic<\/a> and Galaxy Watch7<\/a> for \u00a313 and \u00a310 respectively.<\/p>\n

However, keep in mind that paying these prices means signing up for a 36-month contract. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic<\/a> has earned a 4.5-star rating from 393 Amazon reviews \u2013 89% of which are four or five stars.<\/p>\n

One buyer said: \u201cSamsung at its best. Lovely watch, does far more than I would have imagined. [It] syncs great with my Samsung phone and apps, comfortable wear, good battery life \u2013 I\u2019ve got over two days use with the screen constantly lit. Glad I took the plunge and bought one, looks great as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cWhat a fabulous smartwatch. The strap is comfortable and soft and the movement of the bezel is smooth and effortless. I like answering calls and talking without having to open my mobile phone. This watch is a godsend if you are into health and fitness and the easily accessible health apps are at your finger tips. Some might find the watch to be heavy on the wrist, but I find it to be OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, despite their five-star review, the same buyer added: \u201cOn the negative side, the battery isn\u2019t lasting as long as I thought it would. I am charging it at least twice a day, which is disappointing. I\u2019m certainly enjoying wearing this watch and I think it is a good price.\u201d<\/p>\n
