Nottingham Panthers secured a point on the road following a 4-3 overtime defeat by Sheffield Steelers.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Johnny Curran made his Panthers debut while Jordan Kelsall and Didrik Henbrant returned from injury.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Kevin Carr started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as back-up. Jason Grande and Jakob Stridsberg were the healthy scratches.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Early No\u00ebl goal gives Panthers advantage <\/strong>

\nAfter Chase Pearson and Tim Doherty had early chances, David No\u00ebl fired through traffic from right-point to put Panthers ahead (03:04).
\n \n<\/p>\n

Ross Armour hit the pipes on a Panthers first-period powerplay and Doherty went close as the session came to a close.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Carr turned away all nine Steelers shots in the opening frame, including great saves to deny Mikko Juusola, Robert Dowd and Mitchell Balmas.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Steelers level in dominant second session <\/strong>

\nThe hosts dominated the second period and Carr made top-class saves to deny Dowd, Ryan Tait, Sam Tremblay, Cole Shudra and Stephen Harper.
\n \n<\/p>\n

At the other end, Steelers netminder Matt Greenfield stopped powerplay attempts by Doherty and No\u00ebl.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Sheffield broke clear with an odd-man rush and Dowd’s clever backhand pass found Evan Jasper to equalise (38:09).
\n \n<\/p>\n

Late No\u00ebl goal sends game to overtime<\/strong>

\nJarod Hilderman and Matt Spencer combined to send Curran clear left-hand side and he beat his man before pulling a move to slot the puck under Greenfield (42:11).
\n \n<\/p>\n

Sheffield turned the game on its head with two goals in 36 seconds as Tremblay went top-shelf from the slot (48:00), before Juusola pounced first to a rebound on the doorstep (48:36).
\n \n<\/p>\n

Pearson and Nolan Volcan set-up No\u00ebl to fire a bullet past Greenfield to equalise with just under three minutes remaining (56:53).
\n \n<\/p>\n

Dowd scores overtime winner for Steelers <\/strong>

\nThe two big rivals couldn’t be separated in regulation-time for the third game in succession, but it was the hosts who won it in overtime.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Robert Dowd found space on the left and fired across Carr for the game-winner (61:12).
\n \n<\/p>\n

Four home games in nine days

\n\u200b<\/strong>Panthers and Steelers meet again in Nottingham tomorrow (Saturday 27th December) at 19:00, while Coventry Blaze are the visitors on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday 31st December) at 16:00.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Both these games are sold-out but there’s two more chances to watch the Panthers soon, although you need to hurry as these games are selling fast.
