New Year’s Eve is just a few days away and if you’re planning on going out on the town you might be in need of something dazzling to wear. There’s still plenty of time to shop with many clothing stores open from today right up until December 31.<\/p>\n

It’s not just the usual high street retailers <\/a>than can be relied on for a great outfit however. As keen second hand shoppers will know, Liverpool has a great offering when it comes to charity shops<\/a> and they can be the perfect place to pick up a new outfit for less, while making your shopping trip more environmentally friendly too.<\/p>\n

If you’re keen to avoid the Church Street<\/a> shopping crowds, take a turn on Richmond Street and you will find Mind and the British Heart Foundation. When I visited, both shops were bursting with sparkly dresses perfect for creating a New Year’s Eve look.<\/p>\n

The first dress I found was a gold sequinned number from the brand Parisian. I love that it had long sleeves, especially when dressing up for the colder weather<\/a> and the belted waist was a nice feature too.<\/p>\n

The sequins and gold colour stood out as the perfect thing to add some glamour to a New Year’s Eve look but despite it’s glam appearance, this dress was \u00a37.50 at British Heart Foundation.<\/p>\n

The next dress I found was equally as eye catching but offered a more modern look with a brightly coloured geometric pattern in multiple colours.<\/p>\n

Of course, anything with sequins all over will rank highly in terms of New Year’s Eve party dresses,<\/a> but I liked that this had a bold pattern and was a bit more unique than something plain. Of course another benefit of shopping second hand is that you’re less likely to end up out in the same dress that your friend has also grabbed last minute off the rails.<\/p>\n

This dress was originally from Zara <\/a>and was being sold for \u00a38 at British Heart Foundation.<\/p>\n

There were some more formal dresses too which would be perfect if you’re going to any kind of black tie event, or just fancy getting dressed up. Heading to Mind, a blue dress stood out to me for its beautiful colour. It had a strapless top and the skirt had a multi-layered texture.<\/p>\n

On closer inspection I saw that it was Ted Baker, yet was being sold for \u00a315 – much cheaper than it would have been originally.<\/p>\n

I spotted another high end brand with a black dress from Karen Millen which was also being sold at Mind for \u00a315.<\/p>\n

The dress stood out for its interesting cross body shape which had a bodycon style but with added texture and interest. It also had sparkle built into its shoulders. With plenty of gems and sequins, they gave a bold statement to an otherwise classic and simple black dress.<\/p>\n

Finally, I found this glittery dress which was originally from the high street chain, Stradivarius, and was being sold for \u00a36.99. With the simple spaghetti straps and mini dress style, this is an option that many people would find easy to wear and style, while the all-over sequins would make it a stand out look at any New Year’s Eve event.<\/p>\n
