Here, the ECHO has taken a look at just some of the defendants whose bumbling errors, hare-brained schemes or thoughtless actions led to their crimes being exposed. These included one burglar who was caught eating crisps in an 11-year-old boy&#8217;s bedroom and another who was found in a priest&#8217;s bath. After researching and talking about a many different products on a weekly basis, there was one store which stood out to me the most this year, and I never thought it would impress me as much as it has. In terms of style and aesthetic, this <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/shopping\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">high street store<\/a> in particular does it right. Throughout the year, it&#8217;s offered the perfect mix of fashion options for a variety of different ages. <strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/shopping\/im-fashion-writer-here-favourite-33092712\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"READ HERE.Link opens in a new tab.\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">READ HERE.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">3) I moved away from Liverpool &#8211; what I missed surprised me<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The list of things I missed about Liverpool while I was away is long and predictable. Scouse <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/ \" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">humour<\/a>, the hewn <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/history \" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">limestone<\/a> beauty of the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/history \" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">city<\/a>, and a catalogue of fine<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-pubs \" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\"> pubs<\/a> for a start; all of these I knew I&#8217;d miss when I traded home for a year in Scotland. But there was one humble Liverpudlian <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/ \" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">tradition<\/a> that surprised me as it tugged at my heart while I was away \u2014 the bin lid. Glasgow has a rich <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/food-drink-news\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">breakfast<\/a> culture, with crispy &#8220;well-fired&#8221; morning rolls filled with beef square sausage and tatty scones walking out of bakeries every morning. <strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/moved-away-liverpool-what-missed-33111337\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"READ HERE.Link opens in a new tab.\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">READ HERE.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">4) History of Wilson&#8217;s flour mill as doomed tower faces demolition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">For years, the grey spectre of a once-thriving flour mill has loomed over Dingle. The vacant Wilson&#8217;s flour mill on Mill Street shut down in 2022, closing the book on a 150-year history which began with the dawn of Britain&#8217;s second Industrial Revolution. The industrial mill sprung up in 1872, on the site of what was once a humble windmill. Using a nationally representative sample of pet owners, the vet charity focuses on five major welfare needs: health, behaviour, companionship, diet, and environment.
