But exporters may be underestimating the challenges they would face in the Chinese market \u2013 especially the intense local competition, insiders cautioned.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Still, the industry\u2019s ambitions were on full display at the China International Import Expo \u2013 China\u2019s biggest import fair \u2013 in Shanghai last month, where the French foie gras industry association CIFOG made its debut appearance.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">CIFOG was out to make a splash, with a booth nestled beneath a hulking replica of the Eiffel Tower.
