Ranvir Singh<\/a> has revealed she feels the “most sure of herself” as she edges towards 50. The Good Morning Britain<\/a> presenter, 48, admitted she doesn’t worry about her weight anymore, but admits she strives to be strong.<\/p>\n The ITV<\/a> star revealed she has revitalised her mind and body in recent years and is enjoying peace from within. It comes as she confesses to the extremes she once took in a bid to be slim.<\/p>\n Ranvir says she never enjoyed exercising and reveals that gyms had intimidated her. But now, after joining a women-only gym, she has revealed the mental transition that sees her miss it if she can’t go.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Liam Gallagher struck down by norovirus as he spends ‘two days’ on toilet<\/a>READ MORE: Steps star Lee Latchford-Evans reveals wife is pregnant with second child<\/a> And it’s a mental transition that also took her away from her “nemesis” – food. “Food is my nemesis,” she told Women & Home<\/a>. “Like many people, I’ve overeaten because I’ve used food as a primary emotional support, constantly in a loop of overeating and under-eating.”<\/p>\n But she now says that she feels liberated by not having fear. “I feel the most sure of myself,” she said. “I feel more grounded… I feel more content in my own skin, and that isn’t to say I feel, look or think I’m better than I ever have been. I’m just no longer being compete b******t to myself. I’m definitely now a better friend to myself.”<\/p>\n And she admitted that the stereotypical body image of being thin was still being rolled out. Labelling it “so detrimental,” she admits she has previously been thinner.<\/p>\n However, she says she no longer thinks about her weight as it doesn’t matter. Instead, “being strong does”. Earlier this year, Ranvir revealed a traumatic drink-spiking episode from years ago. She described how she losther hearing and mobility with no memory of getting home. Ranvir courageously opened up on GMB<\/a> in July about the chilling experience she endured years ago.<\/p>\n She shared her story while the show\u2019s hosts, Susanna Reid<\/a> and Ed Balls, interviewed spiking survivor Rachel Ovens and campaigner Ashley James about the alarming rise in such attacks. Inspired by Rachel\u2019s courage, Ranvir recounted her own frightening ordeal that unfolded while she was working in Manchester over a decade ago.<\/p>\n She said of the scary moment: “It was about 7:30pm, my very first drink. I had arrived early – I think it was for a work event, though I honestly can\u2019t remember exactly why I was there.\u201d<\/p>\n She explained sitting alone at the bar and ordering a glass of wine, sipping half or three-quarters of it before deciding to quickly go to the bathroom. \u201cThe loos were down the stairs,\u201d she explained, \u201cbut even before I got there, everything started to swim.\u201d<\/p>\n Ranvir\u2019s voice grew quieter as she described the terrifying loss of control: \u201cMy legs just gave way beneath me, and I found myself going downstairs.\u201d<\/p>\n And she admits that what happened next is a blank spot in her memory. \u201cI can\u2019t remember that evening.
