Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland are arguably two of the best forwards in world football<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Haaland referred to Yamal as \u201cincredible\u201d<\/a> and the Barcelona phenom might feel the same way about the star striker.<\/p>\n

Rodri is a massive fan of Yamal\u2019s<\/a> as well but the Spanish midfielder knows full well how outstanding Haaland is as well.<\/p>\n

After all, Rodri believes Haaland is better than Lionel Messi<\/a> currently.<\/p>\n

Jamie Carragher chimed on who he thinks is the better player out of Yamal and Erling Haaland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On CBS Sports, Carragher was analysing Lamine Yamal\u2019s game and brought up the point that Haaland and Kylian Mbappe initially seem best-placed to succeed Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the two best players of the current decade.<\/p>\n

While doing so, Jamie Carragher<\/a> broke down Yamal, Haaland and Mbappe\u2019s respective abilities.<\/p>\n

The Liverpool legend is unsure about whether the 17-year-old is superior to the Frenchman but he feels the teenage sensation is a better player than Haaland: \u201cI\u2019ll tell you what, we\u2019ve spoken a lot about Messi and Ronaldo getting to a certain age and maybe not being the best players in the world now and we almost felt like Mbappe and Haaland were the next two.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I don\u2019t think Haaland\u2019s ever going to become that. He\u2019s just an out-and-out goalscorer. Mbappe, of course, yeah. But the way he [Yamal] played tonight, Mbappe, I don\u2019t know\u2026I\u2019m not saying he\u2019s better than Mbappe now but there\u2019s more to it when I\u2019m talking about like [Lionel] Messi, I don\u2019t think Mbappe\u2019s ever going to be that, he\u2019s devastating because of the pace and the goals and he\u2019s probably a better player than Haaland because he\u2019s getting more involved in the game and pulling out wide.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jamie Carragher concluded: \u201cBut a lot of it is still about pace and hitting hard shots and whipping shots in the near but that\u2019s just like beating men in small areas of the pitch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who has a higher ceiling: Lamine Yamal or Haaland?<\/p>\n

Haaland gets into any team in the world<\/a> or arguably so at least and the same applies to Yamal, which might make it even difficult for Carragher to make a case for who is indeed superior once he thinks about the comparisons more.<\/p>\n

But with plenty of time left in both players\u2019 careers, the question is who has the higher ceiling?<\/p>\n
