Ayden Heaven says Manchester United<\/a> could ‘possibly push’ to win the Premier League<\/a> this season after beating Newcastle United<\/a> on Boxing Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Heaven<\/a> was named the man of the match for his performance at Old Trafford<\/a> after helping the team keep a clean sheet as they held on against the visitors. The win moved United up to fifth in the table, ten points behind league leaders Arsenal<\/a>, who play their game in hand against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.<\/p>\n

As man of the match, Heaven spoke to Sky<\/a> afterward. During that interview, he made the team’s ambitions clear.<\/p>\n

Heaven said: “It was [big]\u2014 finally a clean sheet. We’ve been waiting for this for a couple of weeks. I’m just so happy. I’m so thankful for everyone who helped us [win].<\/p>\n

“As Manchester United<\/a>, we belong in Europe, and we want to get back there next season. We can push for the top four, possibly push for the league; anything is possible. We are just going to keep trying.<\/p>\n

“The manager, we play loads of formations with him, whatever he does, we know it’s going to work, you saw today. I’m so proud of the team.”<\/p>\n

Roy Keane<\/a>, however, has said United are not quite ready to win the league. The club’s former captain said during Sky Sports’ coverage of the match: “[Heaven] mentioned there about winning titles – they’re not quite ready for that, but you have to start somewhere.”<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle for the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

Heaven has previously expressed his belief that United will be back playing in UEFA<\/a> competitions next season. He said after their last victory, a 4-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> on the first weekend of December: “I don’t think anyone can stop us when we play like this. We want to win as many games as possible. Hopefully we can be in Europe next season, which I think we’ll do.”<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim<\/a> also spoke about when United will next win the league ahead of their match last match before Christmas<\/a> against Aston Villa<\/a>. He did so in response to Sir Alex Ferguson<\/a> telling Press Box PR<\/a> that it could take his former club 10 or 11 years before their next title.<\/p>\n

The current United head coach said: “He understands football more, especially English football. I don’t think we’ll take that long to win the league.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know which manager will be here, but I truly believe we can fight for the title in the next years. It is not going to take so many years, but you never know.<\/p>\n

“In leadership, it’s the moment of the club; you have to fight all the fights. We are improving as a team.<\/p>\n

“As a group, we are going to improve in these small things. That will make a difference even to suffer goals. If we are a different group, we will suffer less goals, but we are scoring more, so let’s think about the positives.”<\/p>\n
