EastEnders<\/a>\u2019 Heather Peace has delighted fans after welcoming a brand new addition to her family.<\/p>\n The actress plays Eve Panesar-Unwin on the BBC<\/a> soap, making her debut in 2021. And it didn\u2019t take her long to find herself involved in some big moments in Albert Square.<\/p>\n Away from the soap, Heather is married to Ellie Dickinson<\/a>, and the pair are parents to three gorgeous daughters; Annie Mary, born in April 2015, and twins Jessie and Lola, who were born in June 2017.<\/p>\n This year though, Heather revealed that both she and her wife had been battling breast cancer<\/a>. Heather announced in July that she had chemotherapy and surgery since her diagnosis in October last year.<\/p>\n A few months later, Heather then shared that Ellie had gotten the same cancer news earlier in the year. But now, Heather has confirmed some heartwarming news to fans, revealing that the family have welcomed a new addition, an adorable dog called Oti.<\/p>\n Taking to her Instagram<\/a> on Friday (December 26), Heather shared an adorable video of her daughters reading a letter telling them about their new pup, before being introduced to the new four-legged family member.<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n In the caption, Heather explained: \u201cA decision we’ve been discussing since our dog Bungle died three years ago. 6 weeks ago I could see @elliepeace01 googling dog breeds; for days and days. I pretended I hadn’t seen her. She is the responsible one that considers deeply.<\/p>\n She was ready and had done the reading and picked the little fella.<\/p>\n \u201c23rd December and we told the kids Ellie was off to her pals in London when she was indeed heading up the M6 to stay in a hotel and pick up our new family member, Otis, on Xmas Eve. We’re so excited to welcome him into our family after a very difficult couple of years. Our girls have begged us for another dog and now felt like the right time.<\/p>\n \u201cThis little fella is half shitzu\/dachshound cross. A schweenie!! Ellie was tempted to call him Todd But this is Otis. He’s settled in so well and the girls are walking on clouds right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Heather\u2019s fans rushed to the comments section to gush over the news. One person said: \u201cOh what a cutie he is! Congratulations on the newest member of your beautiful family! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Another added: \u201cWhat a beautiful way to tell the girls! They’ll treasure that memory forever. Welcome to your new family, Otis!
