St Mary’s Hospital said: “Update on current situation involving the management of a contained fire in the Clarence wing building, St Mary’s Hospital site.<\/p>\n
“St Mary\u2019s Hospital is currently managing a small, contained fire in a linen room on the ground floor of the Clarence wing building.<\/p>\n
“London Fire Brigade are on site and the fire is out. As a precaution, we have temporarily moved patients and staff from wards and other areas affected by smoke. No other buildings on the St Mary\u2019s Hospital site are affected.”<\/p>\n
The hospital said that all other services, including A&E and planned care, are continuing this afternoon, although they are closely monitoring the situation.
