Gunshots were fired near a junction of a busy Birmingham street with a man injured and three men arrested.<\/p>\n

It happened near the junction of Stratford Road and Durham Road in Sparkhill<\/a> shortly before 7.30pm yesterday, Saturday, December 27.<\/p>\n

One man was injured by flying shrapnel, while a vehicle was also damaged.<\/p>\n

Video on social media showed a number of police cars at the scene and police tape across Durham Road at its junction with Stratford Road.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> officers rushed to the scene and said a number of men were trying to flee the scene.<\/p>\n

But a \u2018quantity of cannabis\u2019 was seized, along with some cash and drug dealing suspects were arrested.<\/p>\n

Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were all arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: \u201cWe’re investigating after gunshots were fired near the junction of Stratford Road and Durham Road, Birmingham<\/a>, at just before 7.25pm yesterday.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne man was found with a minor injury which is suspected of being caused from bits of shrapnel. Damage was caused to a vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers were quickly on the scene and during our immediate enquiries a number of men tried to make off.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued: \u201cWe recovered a quantity of cannabis and cash and three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. They’re currently in custody for questioning.<\/p>\n
