Sheffield Wednesday could be sold for under the \u00a330million threshold following latest developments over a takeover at Hillsborough.<\/strong><\/p>\n That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong>, giving his verdict on the latest takeover news at Sheffield Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n Former Newcastle<\/a> owner Mike Ashley is in the frame to takeover Sheffield Wednesday<\/a>, as he was named as the club\u2019s preferred bidder.<\/p>\n Sheffield Wednesday could be hit with a further points deduction<\/a> next season, as Ashley\u2019s bid is under \u00a330m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Keith Wyness reacts to Sheffield Wednesday latest<\/p>\n Everton\u2019s former chief\u00a0Keith Wyness<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs \u2013 believes the right owners with football experience are more important than money at Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n Speaking on the new edition of\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, Wyness states that the club needs to become sustainable in the long-term.<\/p>\n He told\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s Inside Track podcast: \u201cYeah,\u00a0it seemed that we\u00a0were down to two horses with Mike Ashley and then the McEvoy American Consortium as well. But now it does seem that the Football League is prepared to look at offers below the \u00a330 million mark, which has meant other potential bidders are coming back in again out of the six or seven that were looking at it before. <\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n \u201cNow, I believe all those six or seven had proven funds up to a certain amount, so\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0all legitimate.
