That’s up around 21p from last year.

In London however, the average pint now costs £6.10 – with many pubs charging north of £7 for a beer

It’s much cheaper elsewhere – in the Midlands, the average sits around £4.68.

TfL data shows that this year the average time travelled per person per day in London is about 54.8 minutes, which includes commuting and other daily travel.

Obviously individual commutes vary widely – while 33% of Londoners get to their destination using one line, 12% have to change three or more times per journey.

How long it takes for an ambulance arrives

Figures released by the London Ambulance Service in September showed that response times for crews reaching the most critically ill patients, known as Category 1 calls, was six minutes and 40 seconds – the fastest since April 2022.

For Category 2 calls, deemed as urgent but not immediately life-threatening, response times across the country have averaged around 27 to 30 minutes across England, with similar patterns reported in London.

How much people spend on average on bills

Monthly household bills in London have averaged out at between £300 and £500 in 2025.

Basic utilities such as electricity, gas & water average out at between £150 and £250, with Internet and phone bills between £60 and £100 and council tax between £100 and £250, depending on borough and property value.

Groceries, transport, and other costs add on top of this – a weekly grocery shop for one averaging around £60.

[7757
23341,748,2814,393,3060,4884,257,16189,201834,16,15
0":"post-660249","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-london","8":"tag-beer","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-data","11":"tag-england","12":"tag-gp","13":"tag-great-britain","14":"tag-london","15":"tag-london-ambulance","16":"tag-london-renting","17":"tag-uk","18":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
