Even if the 12-year-old attends Eton College, where both his dad and his uncle Prince Harry went to secondary school, royal insiders say that George\u2019s experience will be \u201cvery different\u201d for one notable reason.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFormer BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond recently shared that Prince George\u2019s family support will make a world of difference in his boarding school experience. \u201cWhen William was 13, he began his secondary education at Eton College,\u201d Bond told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/royals\/prince-georges-pivotal-year-ahead-36405369\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mirror.<\/a> \u201cI remember standing a few yards away from him as he was welcomed by his housemaster, Dr Andrew Gailey \u2013 who became an important figure in the young Prince\u2019s life. Things are very different for George, who has been brought up in a household full of love and harmony. So it might be tougher for him to suddenly find himself living away at boarding school \u2013 if that is, indeed, the decision his parents have made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt makes sense that it will be more difficult for George, who comes from a tight-knit family. Luckily, though, Bond predicts that Prince George will likely be very involved in the decision as to where to go to school. \u201cBut I\u2019m sure it will have been a family decision \u2013 and not one simply imposed on the young prince,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOnce the decision has been made, however, the family will likely keep it a secret for as long as they can. A source from palace security told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheknows.com\/parenting\/articles\/1234952438\/why-william-kate-hiding-prince-george-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OK Magazine<\/a> this month, \u201cThe alert over George\u2019s safety is real and it\u2019s serious. Threat monitoring spiked the moment discussions about George\u2019s next school began circulating. That\u2019s why the family is determined to keep the location under wraps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cScenarios ranging from coordinated disruption to direct attempts to reach him have been run through,\u201d another insider added. \u00a0The fewer people who know in advance where he is going to be schooled, the safer he is from the likes of kidnappers and terror outfits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt\u2019s so scary! But safety concerns aren\u2019t the only reason the Waleses might stay mum about George\u2019s school choice.
