Two people have escaped injury after a brick was thrown through the window and a front door set alight at a house in north Belfast.<\/p>\n
Accelerant was used during the incident, which occurred on December 28.<\/p>\n
Detective Sergeant McVeagh said: \u201cAt around 8.15pm last night, Sunday December 28, police received a report of arson at a residential property in the Lowwood Park area of the city.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service.<\/p>\n
“It appears that a brick was thrown through a window at the front of the property, smashing it. An accelerant was then poured over the front door and set alight, causing scorch damage.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo adults were present in the property at the time but, thankfully, no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
