A suspect has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man found seriously injured on Christmas Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n Emergency services were called to Napiershall Street in the west end of the city at around 11.40pm on December 25. Dean Kennedy, 38, was found with serious injuries.<\/p>\n He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital<\/a> for treatment where he was pronounced dead. On Sunday, police confirmed that a 36-year-old man had been charged in connection.<\/p>\n Felix Thrust, of no fixed abode, appeared at Glasgow<\/a> Sheriff Court on Monday, December 29.<\/p>\n Court papers state Thrust engaged in a fight with Mr Kennedy then repeatedly punched and kicked him to the head and body.<\/p>\n It is alleged Thrust went on to repeatedly stab him on the head and body with a knife.<\/p>\n This is stated to have been to Mr Kennedy’s severe injury, danger of life and murder.<\/p>\n Thrust faces a second charge of assaulting three unknown men to their severe injury between December 25 and December 26.<\/p>\n Thrust is claimed to have struck them on the head and body with a knife at locations in Glasgow unknown to the prosecutor.<\/p>\n Thrust made no plea at a private hearing in Glasgow Sheriff Court and was represented by his lawyer Greg Cunningham.<\/p>\n He was remanded in custody to appear at court again within the next eight days.<\/p>\n Officers locked down Napiershall Street and North Woodside Road in the Woodside area of Glasgow following the incident.<\/p>\n Photos taken at the scene showed forensic officers<\/a> dressed in full-body white suits, masks, and gloves, pacing the residential area which was sealed off with tape, stopping motorists <\/a>and pedestrians from entering.<\/p>\n Tributes have since poured in for Dean<\/a>, who is understood to be a dad.<\/p>\n One friend wrote on Facebook: “Rest easy my good friend taken from our streets but not our hearts. Gutted.”<\/p>\n Another shared emotional words, writing: “RIP Deano mate thoughts are with family,” while another penned: “What a gem of a boy he was honestly.
