Owls goalkeeper Pierce Charles made a string of key saves to keep his side in the contest.<\/p>\n
The visitors remain 19th after also playing out a stalemate at Middlesbrough on 26 December, while Sheffield Wednesday have still only won once all season.<\/p>\n
Rovers dominated possession and went close inside six minutes, but Moussa Baradji could not head Matty Litherland’s cross on target. <\/p>\n
Moments later, Charles denied Todd Cantwell with a diving save after he picked the ball up on the edge of the area.<\/p>\n
Superb defending from Wednesday’s Cole McGhee kept the scores level as he stopped Yuki Ohashi getting a shot away after he was found by Axel Henriksson on the left.<\/p>\n
The hosts’ first chance fell to Barry Bannan just shy of the half hour mark. After being released over the top, the Scot attempted to chip Aynsley Pears, but it landed the wrong side of the post.<\/p>\n
Blackburn began the second half as they did the first, in full control. <\/p>\n
Litherland forced Charles into another save before Baradji volleyed over from inside the box.<\/p>\n
The pressure kept coming, but Ohashi failed to give Blackburn the lead on 63 minutes, heading narrowly wide after a flick on from a corner.<\/p>\n
Cantwell went close again, but his effort was deflected wide after meeting Henriksson’s flick on.<\/p>\n
