\n The toys were donated to Cash For Kids as part of the charity\u2019s Mission Christmas campaign to support families in need across the Lothians.\n<\/p>\n
\n Staff at the independent opticians collected donations between December 8 and 11, and dressed in festive outfits throughout the week to encourage giving.\n<\/p>\n
\n Helen Dick, practice manager at McLeish Eyecare, said: “The response from our patients and the wider community was incredible.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Everyone was so generous and it was lovely to see how much people wanted to help.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Dressing up added a bit of fun to the week and was very outside of the team\u2019s comfort zone.\n<\/p>\n
\n “But the real reward was knowing the donations would make a genuine difference to local families this Christmas.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Cash donations were used to buy toys from local shops, supporting both children in need and local businesses.\n<\/p>\n
\n The toys were delivered to Cash For Kids, which\u00a0supports disadvantaged children and young people, particularly during the Christmas period, when many families face extra financial pressure,\u00a0on December 11.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Dick said: “Giving back is something we care deeply about as a team.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Supporting initiatives like Cash For Kids is just one small way we can help our community during what can be a very difficult time of year for many families.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The appeal follows recent recognition for the practice, which has\u00a0served the East Lothian community for more than 30 years.\n<\/p>\n
