A police officer was seriously injured after being bitten on the arm during an incident at a city centre restaurant. Merseyside Police said they were called to Burger and Sauce on Ranelagh Street shortly before 2.15am on Friday, December 26, following reports that a man had been aggressive towards security staff.<\/p>\n
Officers attended the scene and arrested a man on suspicion of assault. During the arrest, the suspect reportedly attacked a police officer<\/a>, causing serious bite injuries to her arm.
