Manchester United will be looking to record their second win in five days tonight when they face bottom of the table Wolves. It was a backs-to-the-wall display from United on Boxing Day as they saw off Newcastle. Patrick Dorgu’s superb strike gave Ruben Amorim’s<\/a> side a late Christmas present as they secured all three points at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Tonight’s opponents are still winless as we approach the halfway stage of the league campaign. Their only points this season came in draws with Tottenham and Brighton, and United<\/a> will be wary of a potential banana skin tonight.<\/p>\n

Senne Lammens will start in goal after notching his second clean sheet in United colours on Friday night. Amorim will likely stick with the same formation as against Newcastle and so Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw can start in the full-back roles, with Ayden Heaven and Lisandro Martinez in the middle.<\/p>\n

Manuel Ugarte deserves to start again after his impressive display last time out, and Casemiro can go again alongside him. Dorgu played on the right wing against Newcastle and he should start there again after a solid outing.<\/p>\n

Amorim confirmed after the Newcastle game that Mason Mount<\/a> had been brought off as a precaution, telling Sky Sports: “He felt something at half-time. He wanted to go [on] and that is also a good thing. He wanted to go to the second half but we cannot lose more players, if you are not 100 per cent.” The United boss then confirmed he did not know whether Mount would be fit<\/a> to face Wolves, and so starting him tonight would be a risk, but it might be a risk worth taking given United’s depleted squad.<\/p>\n

Matheus Cunha is in good form and he’s an automatic pick. Two goals in 15 games is not the return Benjamin Sesko would have been hoping for early on in his United career, but there have been glimpses of quality and it makes sense to stick by him in the hope he can bring his barren run to an end.<\/p>\n
