Police have launched an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted inside a Midland pub.<\/p>\n
The victim, aged in her 20s, was attacked while inside the Sir Robert Peel on Lower Gungate, Tamworth<\/a>, Staffordshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n Staffordshire<\/a> Police said the incident took place on Friday, November 28.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/strong>Screaming women awake to knifeman standing by bed at 3.30am<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Get breaking news on BirminghamLive WhatsApp<\/a>, click the link to join<\/strong><\/p>\n The suspect is described as a white man who was about 5ft 8ins tall, with brown hair and a brown beard, wearing jeans and a black or grey long coat.<\/p>\n Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to people who were in the area at the time.<\/p>\n However the force has urged anyone with information to get in touch.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Staffordshire<\/a> Police said: “We\u2019re appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted inside a pub in Tamworth<\/a>.<\/p>\n “It happened on Friday 28 November at Sir Robert Peel on Lower Gungate.<\/p>\n “A man sexually assaulted a woman in her 20s while inside.<\/p>\n “The suspect is described as a white man, about 5ft 8ins tall with brown hair, a brown beard, wearing jeans and a black\/grey long coat.<\/p>\n “We\u2019ve been reviewing all of the available CCTV footage and speaking to people who were in the area at the time.<\/p>\n “Anyone with any information that can help with our investigation is asked to get in touch.
