When Leeds identify a potential signing, they rarely give up.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> almost signed Dan James<\/a> on deadline day in January 2019 only for the deal to collapse, but later landed the Wales international in a \u00a325m move in August 2021.<\/p>\n

Leeds also wanted Harry Wilson<\/a> while Marcelo Bielsa<\/a> was at Elland Road<\/a>, and are still keeping tabs on the Fulham No.8 now.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Whites wanted Taty Castellanos<\/a> during that same period, and remain keen on the Argentine.<\/p>\n

Now, another player \u2013 one Leeds first made attempts to sign over five years ago in July 2020 \u2013 could arrive in Yorkshire in Danny Namaso, according to Africa Foot.<\/p>\n

You may recognise Namaso more by the name of Danny Loader, which he used to go by at Reading before moving to Portugal.<\/p>\n

A story from the Daily Mail<\/a> from back in July 2020 claimed that Leeds were pushing to sign the forward after financial issues prevented Reading from offering him a new contract, while Crystal Palace were also keen.<\/p>\n

However, Namaso ultimately opted for a new experience in Portugal with Porto, who he remains under contract until July 2028 with despite spending the current campaign on loan at Auxerre.<\/p>\n

Africa Foot state that Porto would be willing to sell<\/a> the 25-year-old if they receive a \u00a34m bid in January, so Leeds have a relatively cheap and easy way to end a pursuit which has lasted over five years.<\/p>\n

\u00a34m deal makes a lot of sense for Leeds United<\/p>\n

A \u00a34m deal for Namaso would hand Daniel Farke a relatively cheap but talented option who can cover several positions.<\/p>\n
