Police have issued an appeal following an alleged ‘racial incident’ in Manchester city centre<\/a>. Officers were called over reports of an incident on December 21 in Mozarella at around 1.30am.<\/p>\n A man was heard to be shouting ‘hateful comments and racial slurs’ inside the store, Greater Manchester Police said. He initially refused to leave, but after five minutes he left and moved towards the Christmas Markets in Albert Square.<\/p>\n Today (December 30) the force released an image of a male they want to speak to about the incident. The force said he ‘may be able to help with enquiries’.<\/p>\n Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information, is being urged to contact Greater Manchester Police<\/a>. Alongside the image, officers wrote in an appeal on the GMP City Centre page: “Officers are wanting to speak to the man pictured in relation to a racial incident in the city centre.<\/p>\n “It happened on 21\/12\/25 inside the store Mozarella at around 1.30am when a man was heard shouting hateful comments and racial slurs. He refused to leave but left 5 minutes later and moved towards the Christmas<\/a> markets in Albert Square.<\/p>\n “We believe the man pictured may be able to help with our enquiries. Any info?
