The\u00a0Avengers: Doomsday teaser train keeps on moving. After a week of rampant leaks and speculation<\/a> led to the arrival of the first look<\/a> at the next Avengers movie hitting online (after a brief stint in theaters with\u00a0Avatar: Fire and Ash)<\/a>, a similar cycle has now occurred for the second rapid teaser for the movie: this one focusing on the return of an Avenger we already knew was coming.<\/p>\n

After the first teaser dropped the \u201csurprise\u201d news<\/a> that Chris Evans would return to the MCU for the first time since\u00a0Avengers: Endgame to reprise his role as Steve Rogers, the second\u00a0Doomsday teaser instead focuses on Chris Hemsworth\u2019s return as Thor Odinson, which was first confirmed in\u00a0Doomsday\u2018s massive chair-based cast reveal event<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Unlike the Steve teaser, Thor\u2019s contains some dialogue\u2014as well as an updated look, bringing back his short hairstyle from Thor: Ragnarok\u2014as the god of thunder beseeches his father\u2019s mercy to return from his latest battle to the child he now raises. That child is, of course, Love, the adopted daughter Thor took in at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder<\/a> after his battle with her biological father, Gorr the God Butcher.<\/p>\n

The trailer also followed suit in leaking early online before hitting theaters and ultimately being released officially digitally. Part of the initial dam that broke on a bevy of leaks around Doomsday\u2018s marketing campaign ramping up suggested that more trailers could come<\/a>, presumably attached to Avatar\u2018s ongoing theatrical release, so there\u2019s still time for even more to come out.<\/p>\n

Could more founding Avengers be on the way? A glimpse of the X-Men\u2019s return<\/a>? Or will we finally see Robert Downey Jr.\u2019s Doctor Doom<\/a> in the flesh? We\u2019ll have to wait and see. Whatever it ends up being, if the recent past is anything to go by, we\u2019ll be seeing blurry phone camera recordings of it all well before we see the nice, shiny version drop online.<\/p>\n
