legislation.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  This was given the green light on\u00a0November 4 by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk\/?ref=au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cherwell District Council<\/a>\u2019s cabinet members.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ MORE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/news\/25727984.farm-barn-turned-pet-crematorium-new-plans\/?ref=ed_recent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Farm barn could be turned into pet crematorium under new plans<\/strong><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In November, councillor Ian Middleton, cabinet member for neighbourhood services, said:\u00a0\u201cThe collection of glass from the kerbside is one of the most requested changes to our recycling service, and we have been listening.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;This change will make it faster and more convenient for residents to recycle whilst reducing the problems associated with bottle banks.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The reality is that these have attracted litter and fly-tipping, with the taxpayer having to pick up the costs of the clear-up.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Councillor Ian Middleton (Image: Contributed)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;So not only are we making glass recycling easier for our residents, we\u2019re also planning to remove over 100 bottle banks to keep the district tidy and help prevent fly-tipping.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The added benefit of introducing this service just after the holiday season is that all those bottles of festive cheer will be easier than ever to dispose of, once they\u2019re empty of course.&#8221;\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ MORE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/news\/25727389.petition-grave-threat-monty-dons-favourite-garden-gains-traction\/?ref=ed_recent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Petition against &#8216;grave threat&#8217;
