{"id":663798,"date":"2025-12-31T02:52:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T02:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/663798\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T02:52:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T02:52:11","slug":"concerning-leinster-issue-will-leave-andy-farrell-worried","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/663798\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Concerning&#8217; Leinster issue will leave Andy Farrell &#8216;worried&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Former Ireland and Leinster hooker Bernard Jackman believes Andy Farrell could well be the \u201cmost worried man in Irish rugby\u201d after the weekend\u2019s games.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Jackman\u2019s ex-provincial side claimed an important victory over Munster at Thomond Park on Saturday, but the 13-8 success was hardly convincing.<\/p>\n<p>Leo Cullen\u2019s men showed their defensive resilience to overcome their arch-rivals, but they once again struggled in attack.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a theme for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/team\/leinster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leinstermen<\/a>, who are lacking rhythm with ball in hand despite being stacked with top quality internationals throughout the squad.<\/p>\n<p>Another All Black in their ranks<\/p>\n<p>They have even brought in experienced All Black Rieko Ioane on a short-term deal, but there has not been an improvement since the 28-year-old\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Leinster attitude, work rate and talent is top notch and being able to bring on Paddy McCarthy and Tadhg Furlong is some luxury to have. They have now won their last six matches and will be very hard to beat for any team,\u201d Jackman wrote in his Irish Independent column.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut when you see a starting team with nine British and Irish Lions and an 88-times capped All Black looking so much better without the ball than with it, it is concerning.<\/p>\n<p>Want more from Planet Rugby?
