The Met Office has revealed all the parts of England that could be set for 5cm of snow arriving in hours.<\/p>\n

The forecaster has issued multiple ‘snow and ice’ alerts <\/a>for parts of the United Kingdom starting tomorrow (January 1) until Sunday (January 4).<\/p>\n

Parts of northern Scotland have been issued warnings everyday from Thursday to Sunday.<\/p>\n

However on Friday (January 2), large areas of England and Wales will be under a yellow ‘snow and ice’ alert<\/a>, including Birmingham<\/a> and the West Midlands.<\/p>\n

The Met Office says that an ‘area of sleet of snow’ is expected to move southeastwards across England and Wales that day.<\/p>\n

The arrival of the wintery weather<\/a> is set to see around 1cm to 2cm of snow fall in the majority of areas.<\/p>\n

However some areas could see up to 5cm of snow <\/a>fall, particularly those in the North West of England and North Wales.<\/p>\n

A Met Office spokesperson said: “An area of sleet and snow is expected to move southeastwards across parts of England and Wales, lasting approximately two or three hours in any one place.<\/p>\n

“Where snow falls, 1 or 2 cm is likely for some and perhaps as much as 5cm snow possible in a few spots, especially higher ground of north Wales and northwest England.<\/p>\n
