Officers claim he allegedly grew \u201cincreasingly agitated\u201d before smashing a counter and attacking staff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">One of the reported victims, district nurse Meg Lynch, described the terrifying moment she <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/news\/uk-news\/police-issue-update-after-six-33144364\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">claims she was struck from behind while taking a brief break<\/a> to buy a drink from a vending machine. She said she felt \u201ca few blows to the head\u201d before fleeing the building, covered in blood, to hide from her attacker.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0_Meg-Lynch-pixelated.jpg\" alt=\"A nurse was allegedly battered from behind as she stopped to get a drink during her busy shift\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>A nurse was allegedly battered from behind as she stopped to get a drink during her busy shift(Image: (Image: Meg Lynch\/Facebook))<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In a post shared on Facebook, Ms Lynch wrote that she had been \u201cbeaten nearly to death with a crowbar by an unknown man\u201d, adding: \u201cAfter a few blows to the head, I ran, I hid and did what I could do to get a door between me and him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Just an update to everyone who\u2019s been concerned, as I\u2019ve not had the chance to reply to everyone. Today, as a district nurse, around 12:00 I was attacked at work, at the hospital I am based at,&#8221; Meg wrote on social media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I was beaten nearly to death with a crowbar by an unknown man, who started attacking me from behind with the crowbar, as I stood getting a drink from a vending machine. After a few blows to the head, I ran, I hid and did what I could do, to get a door between me and him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I\u2019ve been to Whiston A&amp;E, who was absolutely amazing to me. My CT scans and X-ray have come back clear and I\u2019ve had my head sewn back together, after they cut all the matted blood out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I honestly don\u2019t know why this man did this to me and other workers of the hospital, but I\u2019m so so so lucky I\u2019m still alive and I\u2019m so lucky I ran when I did, otherwise I wouldn\u2019t be here right now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">She later thanked everyone for their kind words and said she was now &#8220;home and safe with my family taking care of me.
