A house in north Belfast has been damaged following an arson attack, police have said.<\/p>\n
The PSNI said the house in the Ceylon Street area of the city was targeted on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
It was confirmed nobody was in the home at the time when a nearby bin was set alight and placed near the home.<\/p>\n
A PSNI spokesperson said: \u201cOfficers received a report at approximately 11:40pm that a property was on fire in the Ceylon Street area.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolice attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.<\/p>\n
“It was observed that a bin had been placed inside the kitchen at the door and set on fire, with the suspect then exiting the house through an open rear bedroom window.<\/p>\n

\u201cThankfully, no occupants were in the property at the time and no injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n
