{"id":665135,"date":"2025-12-31T17:41:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T17:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/665135\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T17:41:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T17:41:12","slug":"mountain-ash-house-fire-leaves-one-person-dead-on-new-years-eve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/665135\/","title":{"rendered":"Mountain Ash house fire leaves one person dead on New Year&#8217;s Eve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">A person has died after a house caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning. <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">South Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to a house in Glenboi in Mountain Ash at about 01:40 GMT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Firefighters worked to control the fire, while South Wales Police officers closed nearby roads and evacuated residents from adjacent properties. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A joint investigation is currently underway between South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, with assistance from Rhondda Cynon Taff Council.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The road in Glenboi remains closed for some time as investigations continue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A person has died after a house caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
